The Commodores Cup.

This year it was my honour as the Commodore of Our club to award and present this cup. It is possibly the hardest trophy to award as you cannot win it; you don’t get it for being first, going the furthest or getting somewhere the fastest.

This one is down to the Commodore, it is down to me to feel that a member of the club has made a difference. Whether that difference was this year, a decade or more ago (and not recognised at the time) or continuously over a few years. So although normally a difficult award to make, for me this year it was made easy.

With continuous outstanding service to the club over decades and doing, what I feel, is one of the hardest jobs, that of club secretary and so it was my honour and pleasure to present the Commodores Cup this year to our much loved Helen Harvey.

Humbly yours

Jeff Parker
