Race Result 28-01-24

HW 08:22am @ 11.28m

Race Start: 07:40am

Despite the unholy combo of icy winds, pre-dawn gloom, and the ungodly hour that even roosters would refuse to acknowledge, a motley crew of sailors emerged from their cozy slumbers to grace the waters with their questionable maritime skills. Multiple brave souls, or perhaps just a group of individuals lacking proper access to an up-to-date weather app, boldly lined up their vessels in a display of questionable life choices.

Let’s give a round of applause to the audacious crew of Cutty Wren, who, in an act of unparalleled bravado, decided to drag a tender along for the ride. Rumour has it that they also attempted a new form of nautical entanglement art by wrapping half the moorings around their props. A masterpiece in chaos, no doubt.

Now, onto the riveting results, where official race times were recorded with the precision of a tipsy navigator:

1st Place: Lasten – 1 hour and 8 minutes (or as some would say, barely enough time for a decent brunch)
2nd Place: Lottie – 1 hour and 13 minutes (a commendable effort, considering most of us were still debating whether to get out of bed)
3rd Place: Drishane – 1 hour and 23 minutes (proving that patience is indeed a virtue, especially when waiting for the wind to cooperate)
4th Place: Lady M – 1 hour and 35 minutes (or the approximate time it takes to regret signing up for a chilly race)
5th Place: Cutty Wren – DNF (Did Not Finish, and in their defense, who could blame them after such a creative entanglement mishap?)

Mark your calendars, landlubbers, for the next spectacle of questionable maritime decision-making is set for Saturday, February 17th, at the more reasonable hour of 11 am. Brace yourselves for another round of nautical shenanigans and potential propeller-themed art installations.
